Who are Blue Cabs?
The company which was formed back in 1958, started with 6 blue Mercedes hence its name Blue Cabs, at that time its main business came from Business owners who wanted their clients picked up at the airport and local Dubliners who would use us for weddings, funerals and special occasions.
All the drivers had to wear a suit complete with white shirt and tie, the obligatory cap was provided by the company.
Blue Cabs has come a long way since the early days of the fifties, but one thing that has not changed is Blue Cabs are still one of Dublin�s leading and largest taxi organisations.
While our company may have changed through the years our ideals are still the same: �Quality service in the fastest possible time�

Our road map so far
- Formed 1958 using Blue Mercedes cars
- 1960 Started using 2 way radios for dispatch of bookings
- 1960 Awarded our first Government contract (Still using us today)
- 1975 Company becomes the largest taxi operator in Ireland
- 1986 we become the First taxi company in Europe to accept credit cards
- 1998 Acquired three other taxi companies
- 2002 All our vehicles are fitted with the latest GPS tracking technology
- 2004 We become the first taxi company in Ireland to achieve ISO9000
- 2006 Internet booking is introduced
- 2009 Chip and Pin terminals fitted to our cars
- 2013 Coach and Limousine service are made available
